RFL (12 months) : £330
Colour : Toro Red

Stunning low mileage Aston Martin DB9 Auto presented in gleaming Toro Red paintwork, complemented by full black leather interior with red stitching detail.
Having covered only 14,500 miles from new, this superb example of the design icon has eleven Aston Martin main dealer service stamps to back up the clearly much cherished condition it is presented in. The front end, full bonnet, lower sills and lower rear quarters have PPF protection professionally applied by Paintshield in Peterborough (after a full detail) to help keep it that way.
First registered in May 2005 in Scotland, main dealer services were carried out in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2018 at 1218, 3379, 7360, 12453, 12639, 12657, 12746, 12762, 12799 and 14045 miles respectively.
In addition in July 2020 a major service to include oil and filter, brake fluid, air-con, differential oil replace, coolant replace, air and pollen filters has been carried out at Aston Martin Bristol along with a comprehensive and all green Vehicle Health Check. For good measure a brand new battery has also been fitted replacing the original.
The MOT History is exemplary with just one advisory ever for a small cut in one tyre.
Naturally the correct Aston Martin umbrella can be found in the boot, along with Aston Martin indoor car cover, trickle batter charger, tyre compressor and navigation DVD. An integrated SIM based telephone is an additional factory-fit extra.
This has to be as good as an early DB9 gets in terms of condition and provenance and in such a highly desirable colour scheme, including the superb M777 AML private number plate.
First launched in 2004 following a debut at the previous year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the DB9 is an interesting car for a number of reasons, not least the fact that its body shell is a bonded-and-riveted aluminium and composite structure. The VH (vertical/horizontal) platform is a clever bit of engineering that leaves the car twice as rigid as the DB7 while simultaneously being up to 25% lighter. It also, of course, all but rules out the possibility of any structural corrosion.
The 5.9-litre, V12 engine, taken from the original Vanquish, delivers both staggering performance and an intoxicating noise. Driving the rear wheels through the ZF Touchtronic II 6-speed automatic gearbox, its 470bhp power output endowed the DB9 Coupe with a top speed of 186mph. The 0-62mph sprint taking less than five seconds.
You may remember the DB9 had its own fridge on the Top Gear ‘Cool Wall’ as it was too cool to be placed with anything else. It is certainly a design icon but one that is very affordable and very usable and, certainly in this case and in this colour scheme, very beautiful. As an additional bonus it is also ULEZ compliant and the AML number plate is included.
